No Man Stands So Tall
As When He Stoops To Help A Child.

Our goal as Shriners is to support the Shriners Children’s Hospitals by raising funds for the daily operations, have fun doing it, and to promote knowledge about the treatments available.
Since 1922, when the first hospital opened in Shreveport, Louisiana, our hospitals have treated more than 1,000,000 children for a host of ailments that, if not treated, would have prevented them from living a full and productive life. Some of the treatments include: scoliosis, clubfoot, spina bifida, neuromuscular disorders, cleft lip and palette, and burn injuries.
Our research has led to the development of “growing skin” using a small piece of the patients own skin to grow a piece large enough to cover larger areas than before. We were also instrumental in the discovery and isolation of the human gene that causes clubfoot. Children from birth to eighteen receive expert specialty medical care at our hospitals, with no financial obligation to them or their families, thanks to the efforts of Shriners and other generous supporters.
We welcome all Shriners, who are looking for a home to enjoy the fellowship of other Shriners and are willing to work with us in our efforts to make a difference in the lives of children.
